whatsApp will soon stop working on these smart devices

If you are a regular user of WhatsApp on a smartphone, you should know that the messaging app its stopping its service on some mobile phones and Windows OS from Feb 1, 2020. WhatsApp has decided to cease its services for all Windows phone by the end of this year, along with a list of phones and OS. Read below for complete details:

Whatsapp has announced to end its support for old and obsolete operating systems. With this, Whatsapp will no longer release bug fixes, updates and add new features for some very old smartphones. Windows 10 Mobile version 1709 (released October 2017) phones, iOS 7 and Android 2.3.7 are some of the OS where WhatsApp will stop working. Just for your knowledge, Windows Phone has 0.28% mobile OS market share against Android’s 74.85% right now.
Whatsapp is encouraging users to shift to a newer version which is up to date with futuristic technical updates. Those still using these older phones are likely to get hacked easily due to online hackers

Devices that will no longer have WhatsApp

After Microsoft’s recent announcement to end support for Windows Mobile phones after December 10, Whatsapp followed the path by announcing that it would end its support for all Windows Phone operating systems after December 31, 2019. After this date, users won’t be able to create new accounts or re-verify them. WhatsApp will release its last and final update for the Windows platform in June this year and will continue operating for the same by the end of this year.
